The only currently legitimate vehicle for doing what you outline is to join the Foreign Legion. They still give you another ID and a French passport if you finish your contract with them.

The only way to do this is to abandon all semblance of your current life, and leave behind any kind of identification for yourself. Liquify all your assets, and leave. If you don't want anyone to find you, give misleading information, and if you're capable enough, have a hacker delete any information available about you in any site you might have registered. Somehow get a hold of your birth records and blood/DNA/medical records, and destsroy them all. Even if you manage to accomplish all this, there's no real way to erase your identity, much less without raising suspicion. And possibly the only way to become truly invisible is to be declared legally dead.
I hope that before you make such a move, you plan ahead properly. Starting anew anywhere with an identity is hard enough. I wish you good luck with whatever you decide to do.

If you're still considered a minor, then you might be out of luck, but if you're considered an adult then you can legally change your name. It depends on what countries are involved though. In the US you can't legally change your name until you're 18.

I had to send the forms to Sacramento and have the birth certificate amended but attached is the original birth certificate (has to remain together) got the social name changed (not the number) so as of over here Gazpacho the Government knows what his name was changed to, as for the social security since the remained the same the debt, credit etc. followed with the social security so I'm not sure how that guy did it. Unless it's different over there his debt should have followed even his new , unless he has taken on someones identity (first hand experience obviously not hard to do).
I hope it all works out for you (I could always take a flight over ther hunt him down and break his legs) lol

If you are using SBC global as well as Verizon as your Internet service providers and there may be others it will automatically show your name plus the e-mail address. You can easily change this by creating a new public profile.
EDIT/CREATE NEW PUBLIC PROFILE
You can create 6 new public profiles (aliases or sub accounts) for each Yahoo ID. At the top of Yahoo Messenger click on the Messenger Menu and then My Profiles. (clicking yes when the little box pops up asking you if you want to be signed in automatically to yahoo websites will by make it so you won檛 have to sign in again) Then a box will appear...click on Create/Edit Profiles and on the yahoo member directory page sign in at the top and then you can click on View My Profiles on the right This will take you to a new window and you can click the button that says Create New Public Profile.
Make sure to save your changes once you do. Now exit yahoo messenger (right click yahoo icon by clock and choose exit and then relaunch Yahoo Messenger. If you get an e-mail from another Answers user, and it is abusive, stupid, otherwise unwanted, you can use abuse@yahoo, just like any other e-mail. If you don't send headers, they request them. This is dumb, because the e-mail is forwarded through yahoo, and the headers reflect that. So you send the headers, and they send you information on how to block the user. Whooped-ding, if the user changes identity, he just e-mails you again. When you complain, they ask for headers again, and tell you how to block the user, but they do nothing else, and they don't seem to understand it is not enough! One is.... I know a guy, I know a guy....
You can buy some fake ID's near the Mexican border,both sides. Plus they are available in many immigrant communities in the US but be warned, that can be dangerous and they ID may not hold up to scrutiny.
You can search some out-of-the-way counties records for a death of a baby close to your age, get a copy of the birth certificate and apply for a social security card, then drivers license, followed by credit cards and then a passport. You pick a county that is so out there they are either not computerized or the old records from long ago are not added to the computer records. This way the name will not show up on social security records as being listed to a deceased person
That is almost fool-proof but you will also need a reason why you never applied for the ID's before now. Claim to have been a shut in of your parents who recently passed on. What if you found a homeless person about your age who doesn't work or anything or anyone and bribe them to give you their identity and SSN to use, would it work? You could take on a whole slew of unknown problems using a homeless person's Social Security number.
Things like:
Criminal records
Back taxes owed

Easier said than done. When you use your SSN ( or anyone else's ) in life, it attaches a lot of personal information to you and could backfire. What if you picked someone with a criminal record, or who had a history of mental illness and it came back to bite you? Plus, if you work under their Social, then it shows on their earnings record, and they decided not to allow you to use it anymore and filed on their own record, you're screwed out of all the insured quarters you paid in. Not a good idea. In any way.
