Actually, I have several Gmail accounts, and pull all of them into my OE - and the spam seems to be all filtered at the Gmaill site. I periodically have to visit the www.gmail.com and go thru the Spam folder to ensure no %26quot;good%26quot; emails have gotten placed there accidentally.

make sure the address is deleted,
you won`t stop them ,,,but they will go to %26quot;spam%26quot;

create a message rule. put anything you don't want to see in that rule. rule says send to trash,delete. just remember to delete trash once in a while.
