How to change your name to avoid your creditors?

Someone in Australia owes me a large sum of money after a legal stoush in which I was the defendant.

He no longer uses the name he once did and sold all the assets held in that name. How can I find him to serve the bankruptcy notice on him? How can you change your name just like that?

Obviously the Police and Govt have access to Tax file and Australian Business Numbers and his drivers licence etc and they can find him in this way.. but how can a private citizen find a person who has changed their identity to avoid their debts? How to change your name to avoid your creditors?
You can change your name very easily actually... costs about $100 and takes about 4 weeks to get your change of name certificate in the mail! However, you still have the same tax file number just under your new name and you advise them that you have changed your name and its on record your previous and current name. When you apply for a ABN you also must tell them if your are previously known by any other name, everything legal that you apply for asks if your are known previously by any other name. As for you being able to find him, if he owes you money through the courts they can track him, the 'births deaths and marriages' in the capital city of the state he changed his name in would have the record of the name change (providing he did it legally and has not just 'gone underground') not sure on the conditions of which you would be able to access that info though, but the website will tell you the requirements... otherwise hire a private investigator, they can access things we can't with their P.I. licence...good luck...How to change your name to avoid your creditors?
The only way to do it is go back to the courts and get them to deal with itHow to change your name to avoid your creditors?
If he did it legally there will be a court record. If he's hiding under the radar, then good luck.
