How long will your “I” exist?

Within nature everything changes. Some things grow and something decay. Even matter has a rate of reduction caused by subatomic particles abandoning their nucleolus.

Considering the fact that your body grows and changes but your identity remain constant, why do you think that your “I” will change when your body dies? It seems logical to say if identity is constant through bodily changes it will continue to be constant after the ultimate change of death. How long will your “I” exist?
I want to isolate my mind and merge it with my soul instead of my body, so that I can escape from this complex. How long will your “I” exist?
until you are forgottenHow long will your “I” exist?
But your %26quot;I%26quot; is not constant through your life. Your %26quot;I%26quot; is best defined by your opinions and feelings about things, and that is constantly evolving. And when you die, you will no have opinions and feelings anymore because your brain will cease to function; thus your %26quot;I%26quot; will no longer exist. How long will your “I” exist?
It either ends when your physical body dies

OR

It is immortal

Only one way to find out...

How long will your “I” exist?

Makes sense to me.How long will your “I” exist?
In a way, forever, as that individual does not ever fully die, as he/she is alive in your heart and memories. So everyone in a way, does live forever. They live in the memories of those they loved %26amp; loved them. Also, they are survived genetically by those related to them.

In a different way, I think it happens when the last noticeable trace of your body matter has fully be decomposed and reabsorbed into the earth. How long will your “I” exist?
our soul is our identity and who we areHow long will your “I” exist?
Only for an instant. At each instant it will change slightly, but it takes so long for the change to be significant we usually don't notice. Confusion of similarity with sameness is the issue. How long will your “I” exist?
But your %26quot;I%26quot; does change just as a river changes from it's source to its mouth and at some point you just declare the river dead. If I stay constant, I cannot learn or change. How long will your “I” exist?
%26quot;It seems logical to say if identity is constant through bodily changes it will continue to be constant after the ultimate change of death.%26quot;

But identity is not constant through bodily changes. My identity has changed greatly since my body stopped being that of a child. How long will your “I” exist?
For me, my %26quot;I%26quot; will stop at the moment my brain dies. My %26quot;I%26quot; might last a bit longer in the minds of people who remember me.

I'll use the Latin word 'ego' to describe what you are pointing to.

Having been thrown out of my body (twice, at different times) I am aware - or should I say I believe - that your ego is not made of matter, and therefore is not subject to the material processes of time and space. This puts us into a different category of Life altogether.

Re-incarnationists believe that outside of the space/time continuum, we exists as beings who are part of higher beings, who are part . . . .until we get to the stage where we step up to the bottom rung of the next ladder. This is the process of learning, where we enter a body, and learn things, gaining experience which takes us to the next lifetime with a bit more wisdom.

In the end (if there is such a thing) we are all part of the one Force,I call Life. Some call it God, but whatever, we are all part of It, and It is part of Us.

Once you die your body will begin to decay, but your soul will always be in existence. Once you die your soul will either go to Heaven or Hell. If you trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior and asked Him to forgive you of your sins and come nto your life He will and you will go to Heaven once you die. If you choose not to except Christ yow will haveto go to Hell. You see God cannot allow sin into Heaven so He provided a sacrifice a way of washng our sins away by accepting Jesus. Jesus washes all sins away. You will exist as long as God wants you on this earth. :-)How long will your “I” exist?
It depends on what you believe in. Personally, I believe that our consciousness/spirit will go on once our bodies die, but we will lose our identity after a while. I think we will still have some of the same things, maybe our names and voices, but our features may become less distinct. Ultimately, we'll be one with something great...I just don't know what that is.How long will your “I” exist?
Well my identity does change, but the sense of %26quot;I%26quot; does remain constant, and I think that's what you mean.. However one thing that allows for knowing that the %26quot;I%26quot; is constant is memory. If my memory goes, even if %26quot;I%26quot; may continue to exist, I will no longer be aware of my existence outside of the moment.

This doesn't preclude life after death, or even continued consciousness necessarily. But conversely the continued awareness of self during life doesn't necessarily mean there will be continued awareness after life. How long will your “I” exist?
Seeing as how %26quot;I%26quot; am just the collection of thoughts and experiences packaged in this particular brain, when that fails, %26quot;I%26quot; will cease to be.How long will your “I” exist?
only I know! (no pun intended)How long will your “I” exist?
I believe that self-identity is merely a cultural convention born naturally of our sentience. I do not identify %26quot;myself%26quot; (for lack of a better word) to myself. Since you mentioned the sub-atomic level I will also mention the microscopic. Is it fair to say that we are a colony of cells each living and although inter-dependent, each a living organism?

If that is so, then self-awareness is the sole anchor to self-identity.

If you say that my %26quot;I%26quot; remains constant despite the state of entropy that rules over matter. Then the veritable question is %26quot;How long will the state of entropy last%26quot;? How long will time exist?

If my identity remains regardless of time passing, what happens in the eventuality of a total absence of time?

Since we know there is no Cosmological Constant, there is no reason to not believe in the Big Rip theory, which predicts the end of time itself.

Then surely my %26quot;I%26quot; will cease to exist as matter and time will be gone.

As with all philosophical questions though, I will be complacent into finding no definitive answer.

Will my own death break the bond of my identity (if I am to assume I have one attributed by means other than self-awareness or societal consensus)?

After my death, won't my relatives still refer to %26quot;Me%26quot;? Will I cease to be a colony of cells that can be mathematically referred to as 1 unit of live/dead human?

No, but my identity will have mutated. As all things, physical or conceptual.

you can do this by either legally changing your name my friend done this also you can change country of residence and start a new life with your new name. Which then can be transferred onto your new passport.

My long-lost friend just came back, so what now?

When I was still 12 or so, I had a best friend, one of the best in the world. We were both goofy, funny, cheerful and energetic. We were both very, very happy with each other. Soon she had to move to another country because of her family, and we weren't able to contact each other for a very long time since she had to change her identity (her family was protecting themselves from a threat from a mystery person).

Last week she's come back, and you can imagine how much we hugged and shouted and laughed when I picked her up at the airport. I've found out that she lives quite near me, and I plan to bring her to a full day of doing things together. Any suggestions on how to make it special, since we've never seen each other for so long?My long-lost friend just came back, so what now?
Watch a movie together? Go out for lunch somewhere nice and just enjoy stuff you know you both like. It doesn't have to be extravagant , just something special in your own way. I had a friend who came back after 4 years and we just did simple stuff together, but it was still fun.My long-lost friend just came back, so what now?
go out and have lunch or a coffe together %26amp; catch up on lost times, afterwards perhaps do a bit of girly shopping together. My long-lost friend just came back, so what now?

  • What are the steps to legally changing your name in Texas? Are the online kids legit? Anyone used them?

I have not committed any crimes and I'm not changing my identity to run/hide from anything. I'm 23 and pursuing an acting career and part of my major life changes right now include wanting to change my name. There are several online kits, ect. and I want to hear from people who have used them, or anyone who know how to get this done in Texas and how long the process takes. Thanks for any info you can offer! What are the steps to legally changing your name in Texas? Are the online kids legit? Anyone used them?
I don't think you need a kit, nor is it very complicated

Steps for Changing the Name of an Adult in Texas

(Note: Changing the name of a child is a different process.)

    Step 1. Read the Law.

Read the Texas name change law in sections 45.101 to 45.106 in the Texas Family Code. You can find the law in a law library or online at www.capitol.state.tx.us/statutes/fatoc.h…

Step 2. Get these two forms.

    1. Original Petition for Change of Name of an Adult. This is the form you complete to ask the court for a name change. It must be signed in front of a notary.

    2. Order Granting Change of Name of an Adult. This is the form the judge signs to approve the name change.

Step 3. Fill out both forms EXCEPT FOR THE SIGNATURES.

    a. After you fill out the Petition (except for the signature), go to step 4.

    b. Fill out the Order so that it will be ready for the judge’s signature.

    c. When filling out both the Petition and the Order, use your current name is as it appears now on your birth certificate or your social security card.

Step 4. Sign the Petition in front of a notary. DO NOT SIGN THE ORDER.

Once you have signed the Petition in front of a Notary Public, it becomes a “Verified Petition.” A Verified Petition is the same as a “notarized Petition.” Notaries usually charge a few dollars to notarize a Petition.

[In Travis County, a notary is stationed on the first floor of the courthouse and the charge is three dollars.]

Step 5. Have your fingerprints taken and staple the finger print card to your Verified Petition.

Check with local law enforcement to learn where you can have your fingerprints taken so you may file the fingerprint card with the court. Have your fingerprints taken and staple the finger print card to your Verified Petition.

[In Travis County, you can have your fingerprints taken at the Sheriff’s Office.

There is a $10 charge for the fingerprint service and the finger print lab is only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4

Step 6. Make copies of your paperwork.

It is always a good idea to make a copy of anything you file in case the originals are misplaced or lost by the Court. You will want to make a copy of the Petition, including the attached fingerprint card, and bring the copy with you as you follow the next steps

Step 7. File the Petition and Fingerprint Card in the county where you live.

File the original signed and notarized Petition and the fingerprint card with the Clerk’s Office in the county where you live. Pay the filing fee (expect the filing fee to cost around $200). Have the clerk file-stamp your copy and save it with your original Order.

    Step 8. Go to court.

At the county courthouse, ask at the Clerk’s Office when and where you need to go to court so that the judge may sign the order approving your name change. In some counties, you may need to pick up your file at the Clerk’s Office and take it to court

Step 9. In court, wait for your cause number to be called.

When you enter the courtroom, check in with the Court clerk (usually seated next to the judge’s bench). When called, approach the judge’s bench. If you are sworn in, the judge may ask you questions. Be prepared to answer the judge’s questions truthfully and briefly. Address the judge as “Your Honor.” You may also tell the judge that the Petition is “verified” so that you may not have to give testimony.

Step 10. The judge will or will not sign the Order.

If the judge does not sign the Order, your name will not change. If the judge does sign the order, move on to the next step.

Step 11. File the signed Order in the District Clerk’s Office and request your Change of Name Certificate.

The change of name certificate serves as proof that the person named in the certificate has been granted a name change. A certified copy of the court order will also serve as proof of the name change.

Step 12. The Clerk’s Office stamps the Order signed by the judge.

Your name has now been changed. You may also request a certified copy of the signed and stamped Order. Pay the fee for the certified copy. Certified copies are sometimes needed to prove that the Court approved your name change. What are the steps to legally changing your name in Texas? Are the online kids legit? Anyone used them?
Your best bet is to go down to your county courthouse to the clerk's office and ask for the forms to do it yourself. They should be able to give you the forms and the instruction packet on how to do it for free, besides that you will have to fill it at the courthouse in the county you live in anyway, even if you buy the kit. So save yourself the money %26amp; do it yourself. The clerks at the courthouse should be able to help you. You can also go to your County's Superior Court website and look for those forms, they are sometimes online to download %26amp; print out. What are the steps to legally changing your name in Texas? Are the online kids legit? Anyone used them?
Name changes in texas are common law. theres no legal process to go through. You just start going by the new name and when you renew different cards, etc you just tell them your new name.

    .........................?

why do people think that just because they are transgendered they are really the opposite sex. mentally they are and by physical appearance. however, they can not change their true gender identity biologically since they were born a specific gender which the DNA and chromosomes still exist. they may be able to change appearance and change their privates but it is still artificial and its not like a man can get a sex change and have a uterus, ovaries and be able to conceive. and technically they may be able to hide the fact that they were once the opposite gender and legally change your identity but no matter what your still the same sex just in a different appearance so even if your a man dating a woman after having a sex change your still gay. its doesn't actually change anything. i understand they may feel like the belong to the opposite sex and they change gender so that they can still date the same sex but identify as the opposite and appear %26quot;straight%26quot;. but its really doesn't change who you really are. its like plastic surgery, your stil the same person, but now you have a fake body. you are the gender you born with whether you believe it or not. you can only think persoanlly that you belong to another gender because of either your sexuality, you relate better with the other sex, or you feel something wrong with your body. right? but its never truely changed and you'll can only change yourself to satisfy who you think you are in your mind and how you picture your true self if you were to be the other sex. catch my drift. im not generalizing anything people so dont put words in my mouth. psychologically you believe you belong to the other sex but biologically you are created the gender you are, which no matter what is still you..........................?
    WTF?.........................?
i'd disagree with part of your question, but yes the concept of gender in dna can be one thing. However gender is far more ambigoues in the form of genetics than what you think. I feel that changing your genetalia is not going to do what most hope it will. However i feel that is their choice to make

How should last names be changed for marriage?

I am 22 years old and a feminist (meaning I am all for equal rights, not a man hater like some people think feminism means). I've always struggled with the concept of how to do last names for marriage. I am not anywhere near marriage but need to settle this in my mind.

The evolution of the ideas I've had...

    1. Keep my last name.

Seems logical. However, a college professor pointed out (who was a female who changed her last name to her husband's, making her biased) that the last name I have now is a male name and even changing to my mother's maiden name wouldn't work because again, that was her mother's father's name.

    2. Hyphenating.

Seems kind of complicated, awkward and too long. Just a mash up of your names. I'm really not a fan of this one but maybe it's the most egalitarian. What would kids of mine do though?

    3. Create a new last name entirely.

This is the best I can come up with right now. But I wonder if I have kids and say I have one boy and one girl. What if the boy married a woman...wouldn't be fair for her to take his last name. Wouldn't want him to necessarily change his identity to her last name, although that does seem to be the most fair considering women are the ones having the babies. Otherwise everyone has to create new last names every time....seems too complicated.

Before someone tries to suggest just take the man's last name, obviously I've put a lot of thought into this...years into it actually. Obviously I am pretty feminist and simply taking a man's last name does not sit well with me. I think it's symbolic also of how women are forced to change their identity into their husband's wife. I want to know other intellectual and feminist's thoughts on this issue. How should last names be changed for marriage?
Assuming your future husband to be is fairly open minded, I would offer a fourth suggestion. Both of you change your names to include the other name. So your maiden name becomes both of your middle names. Jane Doe marries John Smith. After marriage they are Jane Doe Smith and John Doe Smith. That way you have taken each others names and remain fairly equal. How should last names be changed for marriage?
I am very much a feminist and decided to take my husbands last name. Well first of all my last name was horrible so it made it an easier choice but I would have anyway. As women we really do hold all the power in the relationship.

In my family anyway, I am the primary bread winner, we get to have the children, we are the rock in the family. When all else fails go to mom, she'll fix it. The least I can do it take my husbands name to show my love for him. Honestly, when it boils down to it I love my husband with all my heart and I WANTED to share his name.

There is not right nor wrong answer to this question. It really depends how you feel when you meet %26quot;the one%26quot;.

Edit -- I am not sure why you asked this question if you were going to talk down to those who give you their opinions. I did not tell you what to do I said there is no right or wrong answer here. Obviously you feel by taking on a man's name you are %26quot;property%26quot;. That is not how I feel but since you are so convinced this is the case don't take on your future husbands name. How should last names be changed for marriage?
i don't understand what the big deal is on taking the husbands name, it seems strange to just make up a last name, you'd have to both change you names. you are putting way too much thought into it, if you don't want to take his name and you don't want to Hyphenate your name, how about you not change it at all. problem solved. How should last names be changed for marriage?
just take his last name. How should last names be changed for marriage?
Its OK to keep your name the only reason it started was to make a complete family unit--like the Smith family--when now a days so many professionals do not change their names due to the fact that all of their degrees are in their born giving name---its no big deal really-unless you have children and you think that they will think its odd to have a Mom who is different--even then I don't see that happening...How should last names be changed for marriage?
i can't really tell you what to do, but you may not want to make your decision just yet, your future husband may not be open to the idea of changing his name at all, so that option might not even be there!

I am changing my name to his because A. I am sick of spelling out my hard to pronounce last name B. I like his last name and C. I like the idea of becoming one family unit, ie: The Jones FamilyHow should last names be changed for marriage?

Changing my last name after marriage..?

I got married in September and I'm ready to change my last name. At first I wasn't going to take my husband's because my father's last name is very important to me but after discussing with my husband for hours, I decided that I would hyphenate it. He doesn't understand why I want to keep mine though. My last name is my identity, why should I have to change my identity just because I got married. I understand that it's respecting my husband by taking his name, but I also want to respect my father by carrying on his. I just want to know how to get my husband to understand.Changing my last name after marriage..?
It really shouldn't be an issue to your husband. This is who you are.

I told my mother this same thing 2 months ago and she cried. I hyphenated my last name because my Father was important and I wanted to identify with him.

All of my children are hyphenated, and we just explained to the 7 year old last week that she is a combination of two great families.

I hope this helps.Changing my last name after marriage..?
Well just do it. He seems to be okay with it. It's not like youre disgracing him or hurting him in any way.Changing my last name after marriage..?
Did you discuss this before you got married? Another thing to do, instead of hyphenating, would be to drop your middle name, have your maiden name become your middle name, and then his last name is your last name. I know of many people who have done this.Changing my last name after marriage..?
I think what you just said here sounds really straightforward. If your family name is important to you, keep it. It's not a slight to your husband. Actually, this 'change last name' thing is very much a Western cultural practice. It's not done that way in other places.

I know women who keep their family surname because they have a professional career and are recognized by that name.

I know *husbands* who have changed *their* last name.

It's all according to what you two agree on. It's your name - you have the final say on it, but keep trying different words with him and see if you can explain your preferences in terms he understands.Changing my last name after marriage..?
You can tell him that you are keeping it for sentimental reasons and you can compromise by saying that you will have people address you in his last name and that the children will carry his name only.Changing my last name after marriage..?
I hyphenated my last names for convenience. It is such a pain in the neck to change your name, you have to go to social security and DMV, then you have to think of bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, stocks etc, you've had your maiden name your whole life, so everything you've every done is in that name. Every time you change your name it seems like you have to send in a %26quot;copy%26quot; (with the seal) of your marriage license, which you have to pay for each %26quot;copy%26quot;. On top of all of the hassle, there's the issue of just getting checks that may be issued in your maiden name (rebates, elderly or stubborn relatives who may not remember your new name or may not know how to spell it etc).

I changed my name at DMV and Social security to be hyphenated as well as at my bank. My credit cards, retirement account, stocks that pay quarterly, and many other various accounts that I've had forever are all in my maiden name because it wasn't worth the hassle.

Having the bank know both names allows me to cash checks in either my old name my new name or the hyphenated name.

Everything new I do I open in my married name, but having it hyphenated allows me the freedom not to have to change everything from the past which would be tedious.

Maybe if you explain it to him as a matter of convenience and expense not so much of history, identity and pride. Men seem to understand logical decisions better than emotional ones.Changing my last name after marriage..?
Its not your identity, its a label. I can understand if you are the only child or there aren't any sons to carry on the name, but what are you going to do when you have children. Are they going to have the long hyphenated name or just their father's.Changing my last name after marriage..?
I went through the same thing when I got married, and now I have a hyphenated last name. I, too, felt strongly about keeping my last name, but I could tell it was important to my husband for me to take it. Hyphenation was a good compromise for us. Tell your husband that his opinion matters so much to you that you're willing to go through life with a cumbersome hyphenated last name (while he doesn't have to change a thing)! Hopefully he will see that you are willing to meet him halfway, so he should do the same. Point out that marriage is all about compromises, and that this will be the first of many that you two will have to make together. Good luck!

How do I solve this trigonometric identity?

I'm in grade 11, and doing a summative project. The question asks to prove that:

    sin^2(x)+2cosx-1/sin^2(x)+3cosx-3

    =cos^2(x)+cosx/-sin^2(x)

I need to do this using the quotient, pythagorean, and reciprocal identities. I have changed sin^2(x) to 1+cos^2(x), and done the same to cos^2(x). Where can I go from here?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)How do I solve this trigonometric identity?
I assume that brackets go like this:

    {sin^2(x)+2cosx-1}/{sin^2(x)+3cosx-3}

    sin^2(x) = 1- cos^2(x); - not +

    {sin^2(x)+2cosx-1}/{sin^2(x)+3cosx-3}

    = {1- cos^2(x)+2cosx-1}/{1- cos^2(x)+3cosx-3}

    = {- cos^2(x)+2cosx}/{- cos^2(x)+3cosx-2}

    = { cos^2(x)-2cosx}/{ cos^2(x)-3cosx+2}

    = cosx(cosx-2)/{(cosx-1)(cosx-2)}

=cosx/(cosx-1) : multiply top and bottom by cosx+1

    =(cosx+1)cosx/(cosx-1)(cosx+1)

    ={cos^2(x)+cosx}/{cos^2(x)-1}

    ={cos^2(x)+cosx}/{-sin^2(x)}

Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?

Do you identify yourself in the same way or follow the same religion that you did when you were first exposed to Paganism or a Pagan religion?

Or have you redefined your beliefs or even changed Pagan religions entirely?

I'm basically wondering how many people have ended up essentially at the same place they started and how many have modified beliefs while still remaining Pagan. Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
    I began my path 13 years ago in a more Atheistic camp... %26quot;I don't believe in God(s)! But I like magick! Wheee!%26quot;

Figuring out that I was best served by an eclectic path was a good move on my part. I've always embraced the idea that I don't have the answers, and that no one path seems to have the answers I'm looking for. Instead, I've found them randomly scattered within other contexts, and put them into a more cohesive form that seems to work. Change is what has made that possible. And reasearch. Lot's and lot's of research. I've definitely noticed changes in myself and in the nature of my path that came through that process.

It would be strange if I didn't change, based on all of that. And, kind of funny that you should mention it...

I'm in a mirky place compared to where I've started. I'm on the precipice of some big changes based on experiences I can't quite rectify. My comfortable Pantheist/Archetypal shoes don't quite fit anymore, and I'm sincerely confused. But... the Erisian in me embraces it. I may not get it now, but it's good for me. In the long run. Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
I started in Wicca, and I still consider myself Wiccan.

My tradition of Wicca changed its name shortly after I began, I consider myself a member of both.

I've only ever added, never substracted.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
My beliefs change regularly, although in very small ways now.

They used to change quite a bit from time to time before I learned what we are and why we're here.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
Totally different place now then when I began. So far it's in a different sport let along a different field LOL

I went from generic neo-pagan to Norse Heathen Reconstructionism.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
Wow, how do you just change, where is your anchor and line drawn?Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
I started out in Wicca. I've evolved %26amp; changed over time. I think of myself more as a celtic pagan now.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
Started Wiccan. Still Wiccan. I've looked at a lot of other beliefs, particularly Celtic Reconstructionism, but I always come back to Wicca. My understanding of Wicca has, of course, evolved considerably over the past 20 years, as have my practices and I have gained a better understanding of those whom I follow.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
    I'm still in flux.

Investigated Wicca and Druidism and decided they weren't for me. Investigated Celtic Recon...a lot closer to what I believe, but I still have some issues with it.

Right now I don't define myself, except for as a %26quot;Celtic polytheist%26quot;. I'm studying as much as I can.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
well at first i considered myself a pagan wiccan, but i know now that im not, im just a pagan who does some spells

i have become more serious about my pagan side as time has gone on,

my beleifs adapt regularly, but the basics stay the same, i remain pagan to the core, its who i am, but that doesnt mean my thoughts or experiences wont change or affect me, thats how we become who we arePagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
Change?? When i was 5, I wanted to be baptised. Mom wouldn't let me. She told me I was too young to make my mind up about what I wanted spiritually. Well this stuck. When I was 17 a bf of mine took me to see heavens gates hells flames...then I was athiest. That program is a terrifying description of God!! When I was 18 I became peagan/wiccan for a while. Then when I was 23 i became a christian in a baptist church. There was something missing so I was born again into the methodist church when I was 25. There is still something missing so i found Edgar Caycee's ARE and the Unity Church when I was 26. Tired of being baptised and rebaptised I decided just to study and make up my own mind when I got to where I could. I'm still not there yet. I am currently studing A Coarse in Miracles and reading The Disappearance of the Universe. And this is where I am now and I am 28. I still have a long way to evolve, it's exhausting and will be happy when I become fully enlightened. But to be there I'm afraid I have to die first. LOL.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
    i'm continually evolving. i started as a goddess-centered solitary wiccan, now i'm a quasi-panentheist polytheist with a male patron.

know that i know my god, i could never be anything but pagan.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
I tweaked my beliefs slightly since coming to Paganism. But because there is no tradition or name for what I believe, I just identify as Witch.Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
answer: I started in 1982, the early days of Wicca starting to become popular. There wasn't a lot of information out except Starhawk, Z Budapest and a couple others. I tried fitting into Wicca and then called myself eclectic pagan and kept exploring because there was something missing. I couldn't buy into the %26quot;the gods and goddesses are all aspects of a cosmic divine%26quot; and other stuff just didn't ring for me.

10 years later (after exploring Celtic and Native American traditions) I found Heathenism and found the religion that sings to my very nature, that I had been looking for in the Marine Corps, in Christianity (and VERY lacking) and in Wicca.

I haven't changed my religious identity since but I have clarified my beliefs along the way.

Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
Spiritually I think I have always been a pagan, it was a long journey to discover there was a word for what I believed. I discovered Wicca when I was 20, studied for a few years... realised it wasn't for me. When I was young, I was a rebel, and didn't have the patience or tolerance for any form of organised religion.

I have always loved and been drawn to the religions of my people, the Celts and the Norse, and I think my gypsy blood is what originally drew me to the Craft. But I find as I grow older, it is the religion of Kemet that I find the most appealing. Pagans/Heathens: Have you changed your religious identity?
I have always identifed myself as a traditional Wiccan/ Pagan according to the information I have gotten from a study of the old tribes of Europe.I have never considered myself Neo-Pagan and never will.I follow a strictly Pre-English ,Pre-Christian form of Wicca and have only reenforced my beliefs through the cultural study of the Celts of Old Britain.I do not appologize for my views and info and do not compromise my practice except to the point of adapting to modern man law (to avoid prison) and not promoting certain old practices that could be dangerous to my students or myself due to the society we live in. Respect and Regards Mike

How do i get guy friends?

like one of my friends is awesome with guys as just friends like all the guys like her(as a friend) and r cool with her and i just want some guy friends too like guys who will come and talk to me and all but i dont want to be like my friend and change my identity i just want them to like me and want to be my friend for me

unfortunately most of the guys from my school hate me for no reason 'cuz they think its cool' and cuz we're from seperate cliques.......wat should i dooo plz helpHow do i get guy friends?
I always had more guy friends than girl friends growing up because I wasn't a girly girl, liked sports, cars...more guy type stuff. I still tend to make friends easier with men than with women. Basically, if you have common interests with guys, it makes you easy for them to talk to, and they find it easier to be themselves and relax. Guys find it hard to be friends with girls that are %26quot;high maintenance%26quot;. Girls that have nothing more to talk about than hair, makeup, nails, and the latest gossip will never find themselves with many male friends.

If you do have an interest in things like sports, start up a conversation about a local team. Impress them with your knowledge of football, baseball, etc. Once they realize they have some common ground with you, the friendships can develop. How do i get guy friends?
Try seeing if there are any guys that can see past that and that have similar interests. It shouldn't be that hard to find a pal in a school with an abundance of guys. =)How do i get guy friends?
i used to ba like that. i wanted guy friends, and then they just started coming. lol. honestly, i think its that you have to relax and chill. dont be afraid to be a little dumb, or eat a lot...lol. be easy to gat along with. i used to try to hard to impress people, and when i quit caring so much it got better. best wishes! XOXO GOSSIP GIRL (haha. im jk..but yeah...)How do i get guy friends?
What does it matter if your friends are guys or girls? If you want guy friends, talk to guys about things guys talk about. When your friend is talking to her guy friends, jump in on the conversation a little. Let them know you wanna be friends :)How do i get guy friends?
    uhh.

just be yourself and talk and be chill like you are around girls..

it's not like it's any different making friends with guys than it is girls.

How can i hide "who" i am?

alot of people move away and they change their identity, i dont want to do that. i just want to keep the truth about me hidden from my friends and people in public so that i dont get shot for it or dissowned.

my friends dont know the half of me and my parents knoe even less.

this has got to do with my religon.

my friends know my religion, we are all the same but i am affraid ill meet new people and say something wrong that could get me into trouble.

have you any tips or advise. Please. i am desperate and sooo worried....

thankyou. xoHow can i hide %26quot;who%26quot; i am?
wow... what religion are you involved in?! Satanism?! What could make you so worried? Are you a Muslim living in America? Is that why you're frightened?

Anyway, don't be afraid to be yourself. Don't be afraid or worried at all about anything. The God that made you doesn't want you to be afraid, that comes from evil... and will only foster more worry and fear. If you keep living in fear, you could get sick. I used to be extremely fearful about many things all the time and eventually it made me very sick. If you want to be free and feel no more of the fear or worry that you've been experiencing again... then trust in God. (Give your fear and what is making you afraid to Him. If you put all your %26quot;fear%26quot; in God, it can't be anywhere else, because you trust in Him. Let HIM take care of it ((and you)).

Maybe read anti-fear/worry passages. I know there are many in the Bible. If you recieve Jesus, I know you will come to see that there is no need to fear. Because He offers to be your shelter. My favorites: 2 Tim 1:7, Colossians 3:3, Psalm 27:1, Psalm 36:7, Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 29:25, Proverbs 30:5, 1st John 4:18, Isaiah 51:12.How can i hide %26quot;who%26quot; i am?
The best kept secrets are those you keep to yourself. If you are going to hide something, do not tell a soul. And by that I mean keep your mouth shut. Don't even hint or allude to it. If people are talking about something to do with your secret, don't take a stand, and don't try to change the subject. Just don't breathe a word to anyone.

I do have to warn you that secrets eventually do come out, but that is only because the person trusted someone. Don't tell anyone a thing, not even in a confessional. Oh and don't put it in writing. Not even in a diary kept in a safe in the deepest darkest jungle. How can i hide %26quot;who%26quot; i am?
What are you, in the Witness Protection Program? What religion are you?How can i hide %26quot;who%26quot; i am?
What on earth kind of religion would make all THAT happen? I mean, I am a Catholic in Utah and I keep my guard up; but c'mon!

Then again, I guess religion has been the cause of more killings globally than anything else. Perhaps you're right!

  • I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?

(I prayed and begged God to change me, but it never happened. Now I am not %26quot;religious%26quot; and want love, but have a barrier and am afraid; maybe even changed so does that make me a worm?) I mean that I want, after all, a relationship with a man although don't like the %26quot;gay' world. It's a private matter for me - and I believe should be private (not all that gay pride stuff). Maybe I have been running away from myself all my life because I changed religions twice even; changes my name; changed the country/nationality. I was abused as a child - and couldn't leave home quick enough and that is when I started to change my identities. Please only serious answers. Thanks :-) %26quot;Bedouin%26quot;I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
I think you need some counseling, but please dont' go to religious counseling; they will only try to further push their own agenda on you. It will take time and patience, but realizing you need help is the first step (cliche, I know, but true).

Never be ashamed of who you are or ever blame yourself for what others have done to you.

You sound like someone who deserves happiness and I wish you the best of luck.I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
I'm sorry you went through that. However, there are books and studies which show that it is very rare, if ever, that gay people can change their orientation. It seems to me that people who suggest you haven't sincerely tried are just trying to make themselves feel better about their beliefs. Get some counseling (not religious) and consider joining a fairly civilized gay group, like a book discussion group. You should know by now that being gay is not just about sex; you need to connect with the person in other ways. You could also try meeting someone on the net because you can screen them better that way...I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
I believe that when you honestly want Jesus to give you the strength to change you need to lay the burden at the alter and never look back. You say you fought with religion for 20 years but I didn't hear that you entirely gave up the burden. I am sure you must be completely horrified at what you are going through, wanting %26quot;love%26quot; yet knowing it is wrong Biblically. I encourage you to please read your Bible over and over, find solace in Him and ask Him to direct you to the specific scriptures you yearn for to help direct and develop your emotional and spiritual paths. The abuse you speak about could have very well set the path of this burden for you I am sure you know. At the same time you can seek private spiritual counsel to address these childhood horrors and prayerfully that will change your whole outlook. Abuse is a terrible sin and I am sure you endured a lot. In the same regard I know you know that homosexuality is the same - a sin. Jesus tells us to love the sinner and hate the sin, true, but in the same regards I believe that once we are cognizant of the sin we should immediately do our best to abstain, i.e., lay it on the alter. Prayers and best wishes, I will definitely keep you in my prayers =)I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
I'm sorry to hear that you were abused when you were younger--that can really leave scars and can totally change your views.

But seriously, try to meet a member of the opposite sex whom you admire intellectually as well as physically.I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
I'm sorry you've gone through so much. It sounds like you need to see a good, supportive therapist to help you work out your problems. I can understand if you want to remain private about your sexuality. I'm straight myself, but I would imagine that the flamboyant %26quot;gay pride%26quot; stuff probably isn't for all gays and lesbians.

I honestly believe that people are born with the predisposition to be gay. Many argue that homosexuality is unnatural, but it has been found in dogs, cats, sperm whales, tsetse flies, and yes, human beings. Perhaps God did intend for some life forms to be attracted to members of the same sex.

I wish you lots of luck!:)I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
Before you can find love you need to deal with the issues of your past, you can't move forward until you have dealt with the past.

If you were abused as a child this may have given you feeling towards your own sex, only you and a consular can answer this.

Changing your life all the time is a way of getting away from the past, but your past goes with you where ever you go and all of your escaping will only lead you back to where you are now, trying to deal with your homosexual feelings.

But please get the help the you need, when a vast amount of therapy is the only thing that can help you, then if you, when you are of a clear mind you can find God, and i think he will love you no matter what religion or sexuality you are.

You don't have to out and proud if you don't want to be, sexuality isn't a big issue, it doesn't define who you are its just how you feel right living your life, and i am sure you will meet a man that has the same perspective as you on gay pride.

All the luck in the world, if you left an abusive home then this is the easy bit:- living XI fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
God can't change you. He will only give you the strength to change yourself. I believe homosexuality is immoral(the bible says so), but I have met people who are gay and they go throught the same feelings that straight people do, which gave me a greater understanding. Don't fight your feelings with religion. Find a support group that will help you. Just be happy with who you are.I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
It is your life.. i think that you can live your life as you like as long as it does not halm others. As you were abused as a child, I understand how things seem very hard! Just try doing exactly what is right for you, and see how it goes.I fought my homosexuality with religion for 20 years - now unable to get over the barrier. HOW?
Zen master Thich Nat hahn has said, %26quot;To love is, first of all, to accept yourself as you actually are.%26quot; I think the first step for you may be to have compassion for yourself. you have been through a lot as a child that may have made you feel like you are not OK, but realize you are OK there is nothing %26quot;wrong%26quot; with you. When you can feel that love and compassion for yourself you will draw more love into your life and be able to accept it without fear.

Proofread my work please! One paragraph.?

I'm interested in the controversial topic on arranged marriages in Canada ( 11); specifically Indian and Islamic cultures. I want to argue the fact that many girls in Canada are forced to marry against their free will. Arranged marriages, in my opinion, cannot possibly offer independence, love and freedom. Especially the fact that most of them marry their arranged partner they don檛 know. I have read so many articles on arranged marriages and each article almost always ends with a dead or escaped (with identity changed) girl because it seems nearly impossible to refuse the marriage in safety. The funny thing is, most Canadians turn a blind eye to this when girls get killed or beaten because they choose not to follow their parents?wishes. This makes it difficult for me to work on this topic and get reliable sources because as I said, most Canadians don檛 acknowledge this issue so therefore it檚 not often talked in media and I檓 not sure how I can find factual information on this sinceProofread my work please! But stick with your opinion, your main idea. Your opinion must then be supported by examples, at least two. You can definately use examples or cases outside Canada.

Remember you're persuading your audience, your teacher, I assume. So you may use a cause and effect; examples; compare and contrasts paragraphs.

I got your point but now try to find commonalities or relationships between your supporting ideas. One example, you can assert, is that like the U.S., U.K and other European countries, Canada also faces the same racial and ethnic issues. This is because like Canada, the U.S., U.K., etc are based on a western culture, tradition and religion, which then affects courting, marriage proposals and ceremonies, etc.

Women changing their last name when married??

ladies, how do yall feel about women changing their last names when they get married? is it just me, or does it seem like a property issue. many men i know say that they believe their wives respect them when they do it, well, in my opinion, why dont the man show his wife respect and change his last name? i dont feel that a woman should have to change her identity. how do yall feel about it? :) i know that when i get married, im not going to change my name, and our kids names will be hyphenated. :)Women changing their last name when married??

I changed my last name when I got married, because I wanted to. In today's society, it isn't viewed as a woman becoming property of her husband.

To me it shows unity, and I would like people to know I am united with my husband.

More and and more women are keeping their maiden names, or hyphenating, and that's OK too.

It isn't important which we choose , its important that we have the right to choose.Women changing their last name when married??
It is a matter of choice. If she is more of a traditionalist, she may feel she should change it. I won't do it again, although I went through all the hassle of it when I got married. As soon as I go back to my maiden name, that's it. That is where it stays til I die. Most men are insulted if their fiance's don't want to change their last name. I have no idea why it is so threatening to them. I am inclined to agree with you that it signifies their ownership of their wives.

If the hypenation works for you, great! But, to me, it just confuses things and makes more work for the kids. Another possibility is giving the girls their mother's name and giving the boys their fathers name.

  • How do i deal with this paranormal?

please give me advice. my grown adult sister has been acting posessed.shes an adult over 18, so am i.

her personality changed severely, her voice is changed.the tone and pitch are not how they used to be, she began to mumble and have stuttering problems, her reality and identity changes.she cannot recall basic detailed facts on herself, things strangers would not know.

she stares really strange with the eyes and has this new angry stare ive never seen before. i saw the devil in her face i sware. the look looks like an ancient thing. my gut instinct was to be scared

she gets violent now and sways and chant, she predicts things and they happen, she repeats word for word of personal conversations i talk of with others she dosnt know when shes an hour or two away,

she repeats back to me parts of my dreams and nightmares...

things she has no way to know, she liftsa furniture too heavy for one person

one night her eyes turned completely black and then weeks later the eye color shade turned really dark, she normally has a light green eye color and it turned almost a jade type color or hunter green ish and its never been like this..

she stares with a blank empty stare into space and she cant remember basic facts on me such as my age and middle name.she cant recall things i know she would know like stuff about the house we grew up in, family events, religous things and traditions in our family religous activity, books she read, her favorite actor, foods she used to find repulsive she now eats in bulk.her entire identity is changed and she knows nothing that a close friend or family member would know about her, she only knows as much as a stranger or aquaintance would know about her.

she tells me shes an actor., she said she wants to take my soul

she has an odd resistance to fire. she puts her hands in flames and they dont hurt or burn

she followed me in a violent fit she had and she had the satanic stare i was scared of weeks earlier, she had this disturbed really angry stare on her face, nothing ive seen before on a human. this really mean stare and she kept staring at me and cornered me at the doorway and faced me staring and i felt a large hand shove me to the back and then down. i felt my feet sliding backwards and hear the rubber of my shoes squeeking against the kithchen flooring. thats not possible to do on my own. and i was shoved hard that i was pushed to the floor and ended up on the floor. she stood there smirking and continuing to stare with the most odd and meanest stare ive ever seen.i screamed loud for her to go away and i ordered her to leave and she finally went away.

i put some salt on the threshold and she didnt come back the rest of the night

i was so scared, her eyes turned black, then she shoved me with just staring at me with the scary unnatural mean stare

also her eyebrows did something odd, she came to me smirking and trying to creep me out and harras me.. she told me to look at her face and her eyebrows went straight up vertically up and down ive never seen that on a human and minutes later she wanted to show me more, she kept following me and threatening violence if i didnt look at her face and her eyes were so strange and the white part of her eyes glowed a white glow, not the iris just the white.. it was so scary and ive never seen the look on her face on a human it was a scary disturbed evil look, a really mean look if you try ti picture it.

so dont believe me if you dont but im scared out of my wits and dont know what to do because thats not normal for her to be following me around and fgor me to be shoved by an entity or for her to make disturbing face and her eyes to turn black and many shades of the natura colors and glow

    thats not fine with me

i am scared because she tells me she wants me soul and goes after me specificallyt and becomes violent to me and she repeats personal things on me such as nightmares i have, daydreams, my personal thoughts and conversations i have. she has no way to know any of this and she repeats this stuff to me word by word exactly how it is.

she tells me she controls me and things, she predicts things and they happen,. she predicted my grandmother would get hurt and she had a smile on her face when talking about it and weeks later my grandm, other had a heart attack and my sister jumped for joy and got really happy and smiling after she found out what happened, she then followed it by degrading my grandparents and talking bad about them.

she was not sad one bit.

its like shes making these things happen to get me upset it didnt get her upset. the rest if my family was not even upset odd enough, they witness what she does but they do not care.i was the only one crying hysterical or crying at all after hearing bad news.i was the only person in my emediate family upset

she tells me im next and she was smiling and said she pictures me burning in a fire being attacked and exploding and my body being covered up to hide evidence

i dont even knowHow do i deal with this paranormal?
Sounds like your sister needs to talk to a psychiatrist. No, she's not possessed, but she may very well be mentally ill. And that can be fixable - unlike imaginary problems. How do i deal with this paranormal?
Wow...I'm sorry. i would got to the church (or where ever you go) and ask the priest if he would preform an exorcism on her. I'm not to sure if it really works I've only seen it on TV but it's worth a shot....

I'm sorry again...How do i deal with this paranormal?
Talk to a Pentecostal preacher. Have the church pray over this. How do i deal with this paranormal?
she is sick in the headHow do i deal with this paranormal?
I can only repeat what others have said and advise you to talk to a priest or your church (I'm not strictly Christian so I'm unaware of the details - sorry!), but I really am so sorry for your situation and I sincerely hope that you find a solution. I was close to tears upon reading this, it must be so awful to have this happen to a family member, I really am so sorry.

Also, I would get medical help, as your sister may have a mental illness (I sincerely apologize if me saying that causes offence), and although that wouldn't explain the eyes or eyebrows, it could explain changes to her personality and partial memory loss.

Once again, I really am so sorry for the situation you're in - it sounds terrible. I also hope that your Grandmother is okay, and recovered/is recovering well from her heart attack.

All the best xHow do i deal with this paranormal?
You are very brave and loving to your sister. Thank goodness you're there to help in her time of need. I suggest a good sage burning.

In the past of I've been skeptical of these demon tales. Yours has an absolute ring of truth. No one could make up such a terrible story(and I mean terrible).Who could possibly doubt you. You are an inspiration to the growing number of Internet tale tellers. How do i deal with this paranormal?
There could be many reasons for these changes besides demonic possession; mental illness, cult involvement, or drug use are three strong candidates. In any regards, the first thing you need to do is an intervention. You need to get with her loved ones, your parents, her friends, etc. and discuss her changes. See if everyone agrees or has any information about why the change in behavior. Then all of you need to confront her about the changes, perhaps with a psychologist to help determine the root cause of the changes and determine the next steps of action.

If a psychologist cannot determine the source of behavior, then consider the paranormal. Always seek the rational, logical, and natural answers first. They are usually the correct ones. Not always, but most of the time. Besides if you seek a true exorcist, they will be requiring the same type of medical/psychological review before even considering an exorcism. How do i deal with this paranormal?
I had siblings, so I know what you mean. It passes when you all move out of your parents house.

If you are both already moved out of your house, then I would suspect she should get a pregnancy test, it sounds like her hormones might be an issue here.

What is the external plot in this short, 1 page book report on Les Miserables?

    Les Miserables

    Historical Fiction

    By: Victor Hugo

    Prepared by: Aleah K. Lozada

Les Miserable begins in Toulon, France in 1815. It is a depressing time when people are very poor and in difficult situations. One part of the story is set in the prison , Bagne of Toulon. Later, the story moves to the town Vigo and finally Paris. The stories continue through the mid 1800s to show the Paris uprisings. There are several characters in the story. The main character is Jean Valjean. Valjean changes his identity several times to protect himself. He has three main identities: Jean Valjean, Father and Monsieur Madeleine, and Monsieur Fauchelevent. Each time his identity changes, he tries to live more honestly. It also includes Fantine, a woman who loses her job and resorts to prostitution to care for her daughter Cosette.

The story deals with man versus society. During this period of time, the rich were very rich and the poor people were extremely poor because the rich did not have enough compassion for the poorer people. This is the dilemma Jean Valjean finds himself in. Jean Valjean is arrested for stealing bread to feed his family. Instead of having compassion on Jean, they throw him into prison. After nineteen years, he is released from prison and finds that no one wants to give him a place to stay because he is an ex-convict. Bishop Myriel gives Valjean a place to stay. Even after this kindness, Valjean steals from the bishop. Valjean feels ashamed and there is the internal plot where Valjean wants to be kind and good like the bishop.

The climax of the story is when Parisians get tired of the way they are being treated by the government. They become tired of being poor and the government not helping them at all. The death of Lamarque, a general who supported their cause, is the inciting incident that caused the people to have the courage to start a revolution. Marius is one of the Parisians that support the Revolution and he is wounded in battle. Marius is in love with Cosette, Jean Valjean檚 adopted daughter. He had sent a love note to her before the battle began which proves to Jean that he is a faithful man for his daughter. So Jean helps his daughter檚 lover in battle. When Marius gets wounded in battle, Jean Valjean ends up saving his life. The resolution to the story is when Marius and Cosette decide to get married. Jean Valjean then tells Marius his past as an ex-convict and makes him promise not to Cosette. Since he is afraid of being caught at the wedding, he misses the wedding using the illness he has as an excuse. Later, Marius is forced into a position where he has to tell Cosette her father檚 past. The two then hurry to the place where Jean Valjean is staying and find that he is dying. Jean Valjean then tells his past to both of them and dies in peace knowing his daughter will be alright with Marius.

I thought that the story because it showed how a person can find peace in their minds by changing their life and choosing to do good. Reading the life of Jean Valjean has showed me that. The story shows how the circumstances during the 1800s in France made it very difficult for people to overcome poverty. This book because it would be a good book for anyone studying World History or read a slow-moving, tender novel. What is the external plot in this short, 1 page book report on Les Miserables?
Book reports don't have plots - books have plots. Internal and external plots are essential to the movement of the action in a novel.

Les Miserables has both internal and external plots. The internal plot, Valjean seeking a good and peaceful life for himself and Cosette, is what carries the novel. The book contains many external plots. An external plot is something a character needs or wants right away - something that is accomplished quickly. An example of this is Valjean getting Cosette away from the Th茅nardiers - fulfilling the promise made to Fantine.

I hope this helps. Oh, do a little proofreading of your report. There are a few sentences that aren't complete and could use rewording.

    Good luck!

Have you ever thought about changing your gender?

And if you have thought about changing your gender

    you probably might not have

realized how expensive it will be and it will cost you

    plenty

First you will need to change your identity and this is

permanent and no going back to who you

    used to be

And being on hormones and hormone replacement

    therapy

And you need counseling and see a Psychiatrist

and this all adds up if no insurance

Friends who knew you they will leave and not come back

and family might reject you and

    all depends here

You will need a new church family if you attend church

    every Sunday

And counseling for a very long time

surgery is real expensive some cannot afford

So yes no turning back and this is a one way ticket

to being a woman or a man

from male %26gt; to female or female %26gt; to male

and this is permanent for the rest of your life

And you need to reconsider the consequence and the

aftermath and what about your neighbors

and how they will act towards you

You will be judged and all thatHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
    I have already begun transition.

Im 20 so have my whole life ahead of me.

Im not religious so i dont worry about church.

My neighbours dont know, and i have moved into my own flat successfully.

I am aware of costs, and have saved half of the money for my op so far.

I dont see a councillor, just a specialist now and again to check how things are doing, and i am having the operation this December (2007), (having changed last November (2006).

I have lost friends, but kept some and gained new ones.

I still have my job, though i plan to get another as soon as i can, which wont be hard after i have had the operation, as most places dont want to employ someone who will be off work for 3 months at the end of the year.

So far, i am happy, and living a great life. I do have some problems at my workplace, but never anywhere else as i pass fine as a woman. I understand the consequences of this but have faced most of what i need to face, and succeeded.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
i would never change my gender.....i love being a girl......kissesHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
    oh no no no.....................

i like fred just the way he is, all intact.............. he's my best friend.........Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
I would not change. I like being a guy and I hate surgery, needles, and all other hospital things. The only reason I would ever want to be a girl is so I could have long hair and could style it in a lot of ways.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
I've never considered changing my gender.

I love my man parts too much!Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
no i like myself the way i am

not to be mean but why do people consider to change their gender, is it so that they can like the other gender or something, cuz there is nothing wrong with being gay, you shouldnt care about what people think of you.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
wow you really thought it through, huh...

I'm not changing my gender.. i love being a woman...Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
I'll never thought 'bout it. 'Cus i'm very proud 2b a men. Satisfy 4what i've now.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
no i never thought to change my gender im fine being a womenHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
no...thank goodness I haven't...I realize that it's a real ordeal for those who do..Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
it would be too late for me even if i wanted it. so therefore no.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
Only when I was little. I wanted to see what it would be like to pee standing up. Then, when I got older, I wanted to see what felt so great about jerking off. I could never get off that way and would think %26quot;It would be easier if I had a penis%26quot; but that's about it.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
all the timeHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
Nope I lovebeing a woman and enjoying bi sexHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
No not really i see it as this God guy made me a lesbian 4 a reason and i am damn proud of itHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
Very good analysis of the issues, however, it's not really changing gender as bringing ones body in line with ones innate gender identity. Gender identity can't be changed, but the body can.

So have I thought about changing my gender? No, despite all the uphill struggles, I love being female. Even if I could have my brain re-wired to male, I wouldn't do it.Have you ever thought about changing your gender?
I would never think about changing my gender bc I had a friend in tn once her gf had it done and she said it hurt like hell, why are you considering it or somethingHave you ever thought about changing your gender?
Yes I have and it was one of the hugest stupidities I've ever thought about. I am a tomboy, always have been, when I was a kid i was always playing with castles, knights and i still have merely hatred for barbies. (i used to cut them into pieces... I know barbarian conduct...) Anyway, now i'm fifteen and last year i told my best friend that i wanted to become a man and do you know why? The reason i wanted to change my gender was because I was in love with girls and wanted the society to accept me! Now a year later I'm a happy (still tomboy) girl who love her gender even more than before. But i understand you, you may hate what's going on in your body and want a different life that is not bad. If you can't accept your life like this then go for it. If you are a girl and want to become a man then you'll need phalloplasty operation. There's an article in www.wikipedia.com. Do what satisfies you, your life is YOURS!

What is your first impression about the preface of my book?

Students are constantly misinformed that %26quot;everything changes.%26quot; Does everything change? The propaganda that %26quot;everything changes%26quot; is propagated by individuals who want to 榩rove and maintain?their 榮overeign intellectual supremacy?by tampering the normal intellectual development of their fellowmen and women. How does the propaganda %26quot;everything changes%26quot; tamper the normal human intellectual development. The statement %26quot;everything changes%26quot; directly instructs the learners not to look for the things which remain the same. The statement that everything changes is true only to those who have no capacity to identify those which are common to all. Only those which are not common to all can be changed.

Is no identity common to all? No identity is a common identity to those who have no capacity to identify and compare the properties of more than one thing. Don't you have any identity which is common to all? Is there no need to know the identities which are common to all? The one without any identity cannot be identified. The one without the identities which are common to all cannot be analysed. Our thoughts, ideas, questions, writings and teachings cannot be interpreted without the identities which are common to all. This writing attempts to identify and list the common identities without which no study can be made. The students who completely read this writing will realize the essential role of common identites in their studies.

    It seems really complicated...

What is your first impression about the preface of my book?
OMG!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??What is your first impression about the preface of my book?
Heavy laden and verbose. What is your first impression about the preface of my book?
To be honest the first sentence isn't very good. I don't even think that students are told that %26quot;everything changes%26quot;. The whole thing is a bit wishy washy. What is your first impression about the preface of my book?
You start with a grand statement and then give no references or proof to back it up. How do we know that students are misinformed that everything changes? Are there any studies that you could point to which back up your claims?

Ditto for the following statements that individuals are propagating that everything changes who wish to maintain their sovereign intellectual supremacy. Who are these these individuals and how are they propagating that belief?

And why is everything changes in quotation marks, when you are not showing what you are quoting?

And so it continues through your writing. Any claims like this must be properly proven and referenced for them to have any weight at all. My first impression, frankly, is that you do not know what you are talking about and are trying to bluff your way through by making some grand claims.

Sorry if that sounds harsh. But with essay writing, particularly when you are trying to construct an argument that will persuade your readers, you must back it up with evidence. What is your first impression about the preface of my book?
You must be in the realms of TIME... Where everything changes as the Universe expand... but on immediate vicinity, nothing seems to change, in which we only compare them to those we chose to compare with...

Personal identity is predominantly shaped by one's personal experiences in life, and is influenced by significant events, people, family and peers. It is moulded and confirmed through one檚 interactions with other people in one檚 environment. Identity is often portrayed not as a phenomenon, but as a continuous process. Each person檚 personal identity changes every day, every moment through the expansion of our intelligence and experiences. Like most other human beings, my first real sense of identity was shaped by my parents during conception through heredity, physical appearance, and cultural identity in the earlier stages of my life, thus forming my unique, physical identity which set me apart from other individuals. During my junior high school years, my family was less influential in shaping my cultural identity, friends and the media assumed larger roles in my life. Growing up in a primarily Greek area, my friends constantly reminded me of my cultural identity as a Greek person. However, I read lots of Canadian books, magazines, watched Canadian television, thus causing a shift in my cultural identity from a Greek one to a more Canadian one. Later on in life, I moved houses to a more non-Greek area, where no one spoke Greek and almost everyone spoke English and was Canadian. I was still able to, however, retain the best cultural traits from both races. Canadians are individualistic, while Greeks are more family oriented and dependent. In addition, Greeks have a very relaxed attitude while Canadians tend to be too stressed out. However, I am able to balance these two extremes. I was able to combine the two, learning to be independent while at the same time still highly cherishing my family and ethnic origin. My family is a symbol that best represents who I am. Over the years, I have observed many of the behaviours, mannerisms, and personality traits of my family, and as a result of living with them and sharing their genes, I have realized how similar to them I really am. If I act a certain way, talk a certain way, live a certain way, it檚 because my family has had such a profound impact on me and because I檝e lived around and learned from them for so long. Identity in my opinion, is determined by the people who surround you. Essentially, I am what my family is, thus making my family the symbol that best (yet not completely) represents who I am. Though one檚 identity is embodied by one檚 personal experiences in life, and is influenced by several people, it is up to us to decide whom we ultimately want to be.NEED HELP!! Though one檚 identity is embodied by one檚 personal experiences in life, and is influenced by several people, it is up to us to decide whom we ultimately want to be.I NEED HELP SHORTENING THIS PARAGRAPH!! Remove the fluff, get to the point. For example, your 3rd sentence is unnesessary. Its not the amount of %26quot;padding%26quot; you put on your essay but how well the main idea is presented.I NEED HELP SHORTENING THIS PARAGRAPH!! ANY IDEAS PLEASE HELP!! I was able to shorten it 135 words. I also changed a couple of things to make more sense of your point. :)
