How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?

My daughter ... she was three when the disc containing the details of 25 million families was lost. Her NHS number is somewhere out there, I kept the letter of apology from the government.

Somewhere I read once it is only a matter of time before the details on that disc will be circulated and up for sale. Even if it takes 20 years ... she will be starting her working life. We have emigrated since, so her NHS number will not be an active one unless she decides one day to return to her country of birth.

Trying not to be a cynic about this but how likely is the chance her details will enter the criminal circuits sooner or later? How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?
I don't know but mine was lost aswell....:(

It contains 25 million and that is a LOT but I dunno cos Im only 12!!How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?
It's not going to affect her one iota. All this identity theft is being hyped by the governnment to ease the way for ID cards.

Stop for a moment and ask yourself what can anyone possibly do with someone elses NHS number. How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?
Mine were lost as well. I got a letter from HMRC as well, but guess what? It was for someone else! Now I have their name, DOB and NI number. This Government has proven time and again that they couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery, so what chance for ID cards working?

It beggars belief that anyone can actually still support the national ID card after that fiasco, but there does seem to be a lot of Labour sock puppets on line this evening so I'm sure some will. Just wondering if they're getting paid overtime for working on a Friday night?

NB - In an answer to my previous question you specifically say %26quot;You haven't got an ID card system in the UK to start with so how you can need a new one beats me%26quot;. Are you actually in the UK yourself? If not, where are you based and why are you pretending to be from the UK?How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?
It won't affect her, there are plenty of ways to get more info on anybody for a couple of bucks.

Anyway, identity theft is in most cases done by relatives and friends, or live ins.How high are the changes her identity will be stolen during her lifetime?
I don't think it will affect her its so easy to steal someones details anyway like going through a bin or something. I also strongly agree that it is all a part of the hype by the gov to make us all scared so we accept the ID cards.
