I can answer for the American culture, it has grown better, but still the old forms of hate are still there. It is amazing for as much as we as a culture knows and how diverse we are that we still have the ugly seed of hate around. older generations (at least here) were taught to conform to societal standards of normality. then there was our parents generation that decided societal standards weren't working and were too confining so they began to expand the scope of normal. younger generations have been raised (generally and by no means all) to be more accepting of differences. btw you're in the lesbian ( and other queer) section not lebanese...
