I suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder and for the last two weeks I have been suffering from unwanted thoughts. I am freaking out, I read something about borderline personality disorder and how identities and sexual identity can change. every since then I have been doing the what if :( I dont remember ever being this apprehenisive. I have been straight my whole life , is there a test to show whether or not? or what's going on with me?Is there a test that shows if you are homosexual or not?
yes, the test is:
are you aroused by the thought of sex with the same gender?
are you sexually attracted to the same gender?
do you see yourself being happy dating someone of the same gender?
do you see your lifelong partner being someone of the same gender?
If you answered Yes to any of these, then you are obviously attracted to the same gender. which means that you are at least Bisexual maybe Homosexual. The only test would to um..y'know...have gay sex, and if you enjoyed it (and dislike heterosex) then yea, you passed! Gotta love OCD. First thing you gotta do with it is confront your fear. In this case you're afraid you'll become gay so watch some girls kissing, and some guys too. Read up on homosexuality and learn as much as you can about it OCD is like a feeling that you're gonna get dirty in a way. So the best way to confront it is to roll around around in the mud (metaphorically of course). Watch gay love scenes, read coming out stories, immerse yourself in the culture and you'll get over your fear of it.Is there a test that shows if you are homosexual or not?

You are who you are. A disorder of any kind cannot change your sexual identity. You're just freaking yourself out.

Number one, I sure hope you are seeking help for the OCD as it will ruin your life if you try to deal with this alone.
Secondly, stop worrying about what if. If you reach a point in your life where you find yourself sexually attracted to women ONLY, then you are a lesbian.

There is no test. No such thing exists. If you are physically attracted the only the same sex then you are homosexual. You are ONLY homosexual IF you find the same sex attractive.

i taught yoga to a client who suffered form OCD and it helped relieve OCD compulsions.

A very courageous question indeed - and what perhaps you might not yet have realised is that, by posting your question, you have already taken the first - and indeed the most difficult - step to addressing your problems.
As far as I am aware there is no test to show whether you are homosexual or not. This is something you have to ask yourself very carefully indeed. Only you can come up with the right answer here.
Of course you are not freaking out in any way, shape or form. You are in distress, and are suffering at this time, and I feel that the question of your sexuality is literally putting you through hell. Understandably so. If you consider that you are homosexual, you will be able to accept this. After all, you are as God made you, and if you are good enough for Him, you are MORE than good enough for the rest of us mere mortals. Agreed? Great! Homosexuality is simply a sexual preference, nothing more, nothing less! You are still the lovely person you always were.
Sexual identity does not change just like that, Crystin. I am not a medical professional - nor do I purport to be. Sexual identity is latent until it rises to the surface when it is ready to do so. I feel it would be a good idea to chat this through with someone - there are plenty of genuine people on here - for it can often be better to chat to a stranger (just a friend you haven't met, yet) because friends often tend to be judgemental, whereas strangers do not.
